About
BarcelonaI was born in Ukraine and spent the first 17 years of my life there. Then I moved around: I lived in Poland, went on educational programmes to Spain and Italy, lived in France and Germany, spent a short time in Japan, and now live in Spain. Living in many countries and not being able to go back to Ukraine gives me the feeling that I belong everywhere but also nowhere. It also gives me a (sometimes terrifying) sense of freedom.
At university, I studied International Relations. Even though I have not worked a day in this field, my studies gave me a good grounding in Ancient Thought, Economics and Social Sciences.
I have been in love with cinema and its language for almost all my life. That's why I recently started writing about it. You can read my texts here.
I am interested in aesthetics. If someone asked me what I wanted to dedicate my life to, I would say: I want to study beauty. Why do we call something beautiful? How does this change across different cultures and periods of time? Is there something that doesn't change? Is beauty always subjective?
I truly believe that, in the age of AI, beauty and good taste will save the world.
I also think everyone should practise their eye for beauty. Train it as if it were a muscle. As my personal training, I practise ikebana — the Japanese art of flower arrangement. It has made me humble and taught me a lot about life.
My career
I did a Graduate Management Programme in Marketing and landed as a Lucky Strike Brand Manager in Germany. Then, my friend and I launched a kombucha brand in Hamburg. We were selling it in bars and clubs. We had fun.
Then I took a side step and learned how app businesses work and what CRM is at Glovo. Currently, I work as a Brand & Consumer Marketing Lead for the superfood and matcha brand NaturaleBio.
In my free time, I like to hike, boulder and be in nature in general.
